SendByPass is reimagining cross-border logistics by creating a peer-to- peer shipping marketplace that leverages unused luggage space. We're building a scalable, secure, and data-driven platform to simplify global e- commerce and international deliveries. As a Backend Developer, you'll play a key role in building the core services that power our product.

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend services and APIs for the SendByPass platform.
• Implement business logic for logistics workflows such as user management, trip scheduling, shipping orders, payments, and notifications.
• Optimize application performance and ensure high availability.
• Collaborate with frontend, AI/ML, and product teams to deliver seamless end-to-end features.
• Integrate third-party APIs (payments, verification, messaging, etc.) securely and efficiently.
• Write automated tests, monitor logs, and debug production issues; contribute to architectural decisions and documentation.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency with Node.js (or Python/Java/Go, with willingness to work in the Node.js ecosystem).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservice architecture.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of containerization and deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure); strong understanding of security, authentication, and scalability best practices.

Compensation

Gross salary range in Lithuania: €2,200 - €4,000 per month, depending on experience and seniority.
